While time can cause memories to fade away, sometimes a photo restoration can bring a moment back to life! We pride ourselves on getting the photo restoration just right for all of our clients.
Kelly brought in this photo which had significant fading damage that included different levels of fading across the photo as well as spotting. Look at the details on the left hand side of the photo compared to the middle and to the right. It really was going to be a challenge, but we knew we could make a difference.
Our restoration service includes up to three revisions so Kelly could feel comfortable knowing she could request adjustments in the work. We first concentrated on getting the fading fixed and removing the spots. Here’s the result of the first restoration work on the photo:
Kelly took a week or so to review the restoration. She made notes on the restored image we sent her so that we would understand what she wanted in the second draft of the restoration. Since her notes were so helpful, we asked her if we could share what she wrote so others can see what is possible. She sent us this screenshot with circles around the items she wanted fixed including removing the shadows behind people:
We took these requests and were able to make significant additional improvements to the photo. Here’s the final restoration:
Kelly was thrilled with the results! She said, “It’s wonderful. I really love it.” What a great photo to share with the rest of her family.
